WHAT IS PROVIDED AT THE STUDIO
Due to COVID-19 precautionary measures, we will no longer be providing any shared items at the studios. Please be sure to BRING YOUR OWN WARM UP MAT along with anything else you may need during class such as water, a personal towel, and grip aids.

MULTI-LOCATION Memberships and all class packages are valid for use at BOTH studio locations.
Please check the schedule carefully to ensure you arrive at the correct location for your class.

FAQ's

WHAT PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES HAVE YOU IMPLEMENTED FOR COVID-19 SAFETY?

ARE THERE AGE RESTRICTIONS?

   At Embody, we do have age requirements for classes. You must be at least 14 for any aerial or fitness class and you must be at least 18 to take a pole class. 

 

ARE MEN ALLOWED TO TAKE CLASSES AT EMBODY?

   YES! We are all-inclusive and invite everyone to classes at Embody. "Embody is for EVERY BODY!"

DO I HAVE TO REGISTER ONLINE OR CAN I JUST SHOW UP?

We HIGHLY recommend you reserve a spot in class using our online schedule. Our classes are limited in size and we do often have waitlists. If you show up for class without having reserved your spot online first, we cannot guarantee that you will get into class.

WHAT TO DO PRIOR TO CLASS

Please do a last minute check of the schedule to insure your class is scheduled and take note of which studio location your class is at. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early for class!

*Please Note* We can no longer offer a 10 minute grace period for late arrivals due to our updated COVID-19 precautionary measures.

ALL CLASSES WILL START ON TIME AND THE DOORS WILL CLOSE PROMPTLY AT CLASS START TIME. PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY. IF YOU DO NOT ARRIVE IN TIME FOR CLASS, YOU WILL LOSE YOUR CLASS CREDIT DUE TO OUR NEW LIMITED CLASS CAPACITY.

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING TO CLASS

Pole Classes

We recommend you wear form fitting workout apparel ie. shorts and a tank top/t-shirt.  

Shorts allow bare legs which will help you grip the pole (no lotions!). 

Pole classes are usually bare footed. Stilettos are not required but are always optional.

Please remove all arm/finger jewelry prior to class.

Please do not apply any lotion on the day of your pole class (slippery!!) 

Masks are required at all times in studio until further notice.

Warm up mats will NOT be provided.

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN WARM UP MAT!

 

Aerial Silks/Hoop/Hammock Classes
Please wear snug leggings (to calf or ankle) and a form fitting top (covering the midriff).
Aerial classes are performed bare footed - no shoes please.

Though we do ask that you wear socks for hammock classes please.
Please remove ALL jewelry prior to class (snags the fabric!)

Please ensure that your clothing does not have zippers, studs, or buttons that can snag the aerial fabric.

Masks are required at all times in studio until further notice.

Warm up mats will NOT be provided.

Barre/Flexibility/Fitness Classes
No shoes please
Non skid socks are optional (and available at the studio)

Burlesque/Dance Classes
Comfortable workout/dance attire is recommended
No shoes are required
Heels, boots, stockings and anything else that makes you feel sassy and sexy is

highly encouraged once you are comfortable in class!

Twerk Classes

Comfortable workout attire (booty shorts and tank recommended)

Athletic shoes optional

Knee pads HIGHLY recommended (available for sale at the studio)

WHAT CLASS TO REGISTER FOR

If you are new to our studio and taking a pole or aerial class, we recommend starting with an

"Intro" or "Beginner" level class. If these do not work with your schedule, you may attend an "All Level" class or "Beginner-Intermediate" class, however, please be aware that there will be students of multiple experience levels in class and the instructor will be teaching various levels of curriculum. Due to this fact, if you are brand new, you may not receive as detailed introductory instruction as you would in an Intro class.
 

Our class levels are Intro, Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced and will be listed next to the class title on the schedule if it is relevant to the class. Some classes are a combination of levels such as "Beginner - Intermediate" or "Mixed Level" which is open to all levels but NOT recommended for Intro level students.

Barre, flexibility, twerk and burlesque classes are open to any and all levels

and do not require any type of "Intro."

HOW DO I CANCEL A CLASS I AM REGISTERED FOR

You can manage your schedule online using our website "Schedule" page or the MindBody App.

*Please note* the we have strict cancellation windows and charge fees for cancellations outside of our 8 hour cancellation window and for "no-shows." Please review our Studio Policies below for more detail. Also please remember that if you are on the waiting list, we ask that you cancel off of the waiting list if you know you will not be able to attend if added.

Please go to the 'Class Schedule' page and log in (you may also click here).

Once you are logged in, please click the 'SIGN IN/PROFILE' tab.

You will then see a sub tab named "My Schedule" - where you can 'cancel' your class.

For cancellations using the MindBody App 

You may cancel your class in the "My Schedule" section.

STUDIO POLICIES

ONLINE REGISTRATION REQUIRED

All students must register for class online PRIOR to attending to guarantee their spot in class. 

If you attend without prior registration, you may not be accepted to attend class if class is full. 

 

LATE POLICY

STRICTLY ENFORCED

Due to our updated policies for COVID-19 safety precautions, we can no longer offer a late arrival grace period. Classes will start on time and studio doors will close promptly at class time and no late arrivals will be admitted.Please plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes prior to class start time. 

If you miss class due to late arrival, you will lose your class credit due to our limited capacity.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY
In consideration of your fellow students, respect your instructor's time, and to optimize limited class capacity, cancellation and reservation policies are strictly enforced.

Our cancellation window is 8 hours prior to class start time.

 

CANCELLATION WINDOW

Our cancellation window is 8 hours prior to class start time. You must cancel your class reservation online or you will be considered a "No Show". You may cancel out of class online without penalty if you are outside of the 8 hour window. If your registration is cancelled 8 hours or less before class start time, a "LATE CANCEL" will be noted in your profile.

 

LATE CANCELS

Late cancellations (class cancellations made under 8 hours of class start time) will be allowed only twice without penalty only if the Late Cancel is more than 4 hours prior to class start time. After TWO (2) LATE CANCELS (in the 4-8 hour range), unlimited members will be charged $5 for each LATE CANCEL thereafter and non-members will lose the class credit.

A late cancel FOUR HOURS or less from class start time will incur an increased LATE CANCEL FEE of $10 - the 2 occurrence grace period does not apply for late cancels under 4 hours or less. A late cancel made 1 hour or less from class start time will incur an increased LATE CANCEL FEE of $15.

New students in the Intro Week offer will lose ONE DAY of the Intro Week for every late cancel.

(2 occurrence grace period will not be granted).

 

NO SHOWS

If you are registered for class and do not cancel, email, or call, then do not show up, you will be considered a 'NO SHOW.' You will lose your credit for that class and will incur a "No Show" penalty/fee.

Pole and Aerial class no-shows will be charged $20 for every no show.

Fitness and Dance class no-shows will be charged $10 for each occurrence. 

New students in the Intro Week offer will lose TWO DAYS of their Intro Week for EACH 'no show' 

We understand emergencies or unforeseen circumstances may prevent you from attending classes every so often, so please be sure to email/call us when possible.  

This policy will be strictly enforced in consideration of other students and our limited class sizes - we often have waiting lists for classes and a no-show takes the opportunity from another student to attend. 

 

CLASS CANCELLATIONS BY THE STUDIO

The studio does on occasion, need to cancel classes for various reasons such as instructor absence/sickness or last minute emergencies.  

In addition, if any class has less than 3 participants registered, class will be canceled. We will do our best to cancel any class at least 3 hours ahead of class start time. The ONLY way you will be notified is by email (so please opt in for email notifications! This can be done on your MindBody profile or you can email the studio and we can help). If we cancel a class less than 3 hours from class start time, we will also do our best to text/call if your phone number is in your profile.

CLASS WAITING LISTS

When classes are full, you can sign up to be on the wait list. 
Frequently, people will sign out early from classes, making room for those on the wait list. 
If/when a spot opens up, you will receive an automatic email. Once you receive this email, you are registered! If you cannot make it, you must cancel the class and late cancel fees may still apply. So, if you are on a waitlist and cannot make class if were to be added, please remove yourself from the waitlist.

Please note that you must be "opted-in" in your profile for email notifications from our system in order for the waitlist system to work for you. You can opt in on your MindBody profile.

Email notifications for being added from the waitlist may be sent up to one hour prior to class start time. If you are on a wait list, please check your email up to one hour prior to class start time.
If you are not sure you will be able to make it with a short notice, please remove yourself from the wait list.

Remember - If you are added into class, you will be held to the same cancellation policy as any other class. Please manage your waitlists the same as you would your class reservations.

REFUNDS & TRANSFERS

Class packages and memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable. 
All sales are final. 
Expiration dates will be enforced.

 

PICTURES & FILMING

Taking pictures and filming, is not allowed in our classes unless the instructor authorizes "camera time" in class. Please respect other students' privacy.

If you want to take pictures or film yourself, you are welcome to do so during the following times:

Private parties, private lessons/classes, private space rental open studio time, and between classes

(please be sure no other students are in the background of your pics/videos without their permission).

 

AGE REQUIREMENTS

You must be 18* and over to attend our POLE classes.
Anyone over the age of 14* may attend any of our Aerial, Dance, or Fitness classes.

*Age restrictions my be waived in Private Lessons. Email the studio for more info. 
If you are under the age of 18, we require a parental consent. 
A parent/guardian needs to come come to the studio for the first class, so they can sign the release form with a copy of their ID for insurance liability purposes. 
Attendees under 18 may sign up for class and complete the online liability waiver (signed by parent). Please be sure you are accompanied by your parent when coming in for your first class.

 

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

No alcohol is allowed to be consumed before any physical activities at the studio. 
If you are intoxicated when arriving to our studio, you will not be allowed to participate in class and will lose your class credit.

 

FOOD & BEVERAGES

Food & beverages with the exception of bottled water, are not allowed on premises.

 

STUDIO CONDUCT

Participation in phone conversations, texting, and social media will not be allowed during class. 
Please step into the lobby for phone calls or any other phone usage.
Street shoes must be removed and placed in cubbies when in studio.

Pets are not allowed on the premises.
Children are not allowed in the studio for liability reasons.
Observation of a class is not allowed without prior management approval. 
Please do not bring guests to wait for you in the lobby.
We will not tolerate disrespect of other students and their personal space  - such behavior will result of removal from the studio.
